HAI sponsors over 60000 orphans inside and outside UAE

AJMAN 27th January 2016 (WAM) - Human Appeal International (HAI) has revealed that it is currently sponsoring 60147 orphans within the UAE and abroad an increase of 1739 orphans since the end of 2014.

Abdullah Al Awadi Assistant Secretary-General for Financial and Administrative Affairs said the increase in the pool of orphans sponsored by HAI was attributed to the growing attention lent to an orphan's integrated health education and societal care in the UAE.

He added that HAI has orphan care programmes in the UAE Jordan Lebanon Palestine Iraq Sudan Senegal Niger Somalia Indonesia India Bangladesh Bosnia Kosovo and Kyrgyzstan.

''HAI gives orphan sponsorship top priority as it fits the UAE leadership's vision for taking proper care of them'' he affirmed noting that many of those orphans have graduated in important specialisations including medicine and engineering.
