Refugees arriving in Germany in decline


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BERLIN Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The German authorities said Monday there is a marked decline in the numbers of refugees arriving in the country in the last few days.The number of new arrivals per day dropped to less than one thousand migrants with only 680 arriving in Bavaria State southeast Germany on Sunday the government said in a statement citing the interior ministry of the federal state.The figures mark an all-time low since the start of refugee influx into the country in mid-September 2015.The highest number of daily arrivals was reported on January 4 when 3380 crossed into Germany.The average daily refugee arrivals in Germany stood at 5000 in last summer and the total number hit 1.1 million last year.
