Jordan- Snow forecast on areas over 700m as blizzard progresses
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan. 25 (Petra) --- The polar front Monday is expected to deepen and snowfall will blanket areas 700m and higher above sea level with cold westerly to northwesterly gusty winds.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) similar weather conditions are forecast to remain on Tuesday with snow on elevations of 700m above sea level. Therefore it will be chilly cloudy with heavy rain accompanied with hail thunder and lightening. Snow will heavily fall and accumulate mainly over the southern highlands and the Badia region the JMD added.
On Wednesday similar cold and cloudy conditions are expected to continue with snow over the hilly areas with frost formation in most parts of the Kingdom.
As for Thursday it will be chilly and partly cloudy with frost formation across the country while winds will be southeasterly light .
