(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Tokyo 15 Rabi'II1437 AH 25 January2016 SPA -- Asian stocks rose Monday as oil rebounded from 12-year lows and expectations of monetary stimulus in Europe and Japan shored up sentiment after three weeks of sell-offs in global markets AP reported.
Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 0.9 percent to 17110.91 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped 1.3 percent to 19334.97. The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.2 percent to 2921.61 and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose 1.8 percent to 5006.60. South Korea's Kospi was up 0.7 percent at 1893.43 and shares in Taiwan New Zealand and Southeast Asia also were higher.
