Qatar- Abbas Estonia's FM Discuss Palestinian Israeli Political Process


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ramallah January 24 (QNA) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here Sunday with Estonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Marina Kaljurand and her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting President Abbas briefed the Estonian Foreign Minister on the latest developments in the situation in the Palestinian territory and the developments of the political process the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.
The Palestinian President urged the international community's support to hold an international peace conference aimed at guide the political process out of its current predicament in order to establish an independent Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.
Abbas praised the European Union's position including Estonia of the Israeli settlement issue and its decision to put labels for products made in Israeli settlements calling on Europe to play a greater role in the political process.
For her part Estonian Foreign Minister expressed her country's support for the peace process based on the principle of two-state solution referring to Estonia's keenness on developing bilateral relations between the two countries and the continued support of the Palestinian people in all fields especially education sector.
