Oman's freezone 'Sohar' to complete improved plan

(MENAFN) Freezone Sohar will finalize its main plan to develop a large area of 4,500 hectares of land by the middle of 2016, which will show what type of industries and what sort of growth it expects.

Furthermore, Sohar is making the main plan to take advantage of the port's planned railway and air connectivity to the rest of the region to become a major logistics hub.

The planned location, energy availability and a deep-water port make it a main attraction for investors to launch their base in Sohar, while many investments are from India.

The free zone has attracted USD 776.53mn worth investments so far in different sectors, which involve logistics.
