(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 297.13 points or -3.31% when the bourse closed trading at 8,689.37 points Wednesday.
The daily turnover today declined to QR 290.73 Million with a volume of 7,805,697 shares from 5,374 deals compared with QR 367.33 Million with a volume of 14,008,809 shares from 6,881 deals on Tuesday. From the 43 companies listed on QSE, shares of 42 saw trading today. From these 33 declined, eight gained and one remained unchanged.
Telecom index was the only sector to gain today, up +0.58%. All other indices finished the day in the red with real estate declining the most, -6.06%. QSE Total Return Index dropped -3.31% to 13,506.38 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped -4.18% to 3,081.46 points and QSE All Share Index dropped -3.01% to 2,312.6 points.
