GCC, China to boost talks on FTA


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH Jan 20 (KUNA) -- The GCC states and China are set to boost negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and discuss the recent developments in the matter.In a joint statement issued in Riyadh on Wednesday the two sides agreed on holding the upcoming round of the FTA talks mid-February while also pledging to complete a comprehensive trade agreement during 2016.During their FTA meeting in Saudi Arabia China and the GCC states had reached an initial agreement on the terms of trade on goods. The negotiation were held in time of the visit of the Chinese President to Riyadh where he met Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.(end) ad.ag
