India- Guj CM appeals to preserve the traditional craft culture


(MENAFN- KNN India) Gujarat chief minister Aniandiben Patel appealed people to preserve the traditional craft culture of the state.

Patel, on Sunday, inaugurated the National Craft Fair-2016, jointly organized by iNDEXt-C and Cottage and Rural Industries Department.

The week-long Craft Fair, spread across 9 domes, has wonderful handicrafts made by over 500 artisans from several other states across the country. It has 60 state pavilions from 13 states and also a craft village.

On this occasion, CM Patel visited various stalls and interacted with the handicraft workers.

The state government has been providing direct marketing platform to sell the products made by handloom and handicraft artists living in remote areas of the Gujarat.

Patel appealed everyone to visit National Craft Fair to appreciate and encourage our talented artisans.
