Three Americans Iraqi Translator Kidnapped in Baghdad


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Baghdad January 18 (QNA) - Three American citizens and one Iraqi translator have been kidnapped in Baghdad officials from the two countries said on Sunday.
US Embassy spokesman Scott Bolz in Baghdad said that the US is working in full cooperation with Iraqi authorities to locate the missing Americans.
A police official told Kuwait News Agency that gunmen disguised as military personnel and boarding a four-wheel vehicle kidnapped the Americans and their translator on Dora highway in the city southern sector.
The four persons were heading from Baghdad Airport west of the city to the "green zone" when they were nabbed by the armed men posing as military troops.
Police are trying to determine their whereabouts the official said. (QNA)
