Ten Arrested for Being Involved in Istanbul Explosion


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ankara January 18 (QNA) - A Turkish court has ordered the arrest of ten out of 16 suspects for having been involved in Istanbul explosion which killed dozens of innocent people gathering at Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square last Tuesday.
Turkish Anadolu news agency said the general prosecution in Istanbul has transferred the 16 in custody to Reconciliation and Penalty Court which ordered the arrest of ten out of them after accusing them of deliberate killing and belonging to a terrorist organization attributing its decision to the existence of tangible evidence verifying strong suspicion that reveals their crime.
On the other hand the court released six suspects on the lack of concrete evidence on their relation with the explosion prevented their departure out of the country and ordered them to report to the police center on monthly bases.
A suicide bomb attack at Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square on Tuesday morning killed 10 people and wounded 15 others. The Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the suicide bomber was a member of ISIS group. (QNA)
