Iran, Bahrain win Asia handball matches

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Iran and Bahrain beat Lebanon and China respectively on Sunday while Saudi Arabia and the UAE equalized in the second group of the Asia 17th handball tournament hosted by Bahrain till January 28th.The Iranians beat the Lebanese 31-26 the Bahrainis also emerged victorious from the match against the Chinese 41-18 however the Saudi and the UAE teams scored 17 each.The championship involves the first group (Qatar South Korea Oman Japan and Syria) and the second (Bahrain Lebanon China Saudi Arabia the UAE and Iran).The four top winners will qualify to play in the world tournament due in France next year.
