Qatar- Pakistan mission starts online appointments


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) DOHA: The Pakistan embassy has begun an online appointment system for its nationals in Qatar for the issuance and renewal of passports and computerised national identity cards (CNIC).

The new system will help Pakistani expatriates needing these services save time particularly those living in the remote areas. The old system required an applicant to visit the embassy in person between 1pm and 3pm on working days and take an appointment for these services.

To avail of the new services the applicant will have to email the required documents to the embassy at .

The applicant will need to make a request for appointment providing basic information such as the purpose of appointment full name NIC and passport numbers contact number and residential address in Qatar.

For passport service the applicant should attach a copy of NICC/NICOP (both sides) a copy of passport (front side) and a copy of visa (residency permit of Qatar).

To take an appointment for services related to documentation for a newborn a copy of NICC of parents and a copy of birth certificate attested by Qatar’s Foreign Ministry should be attached with the request.

To take an appointment for the renewal of NIC a copy of NICC (both sides) is required to be attached with the request.

Pakistani expatriates living in remote areas including Mesaieed Al Wakrah Al Khor Dukhan and Al Shihaniya will be given priority according to an embassy official.
