Bahrain UN cooperation discussed

MANAMA 17th January 2016 (WAM) -- Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs has received a phone call from United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in which he commended the important role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in consolidating regional and international security and stability to contribute effectively in addressing and resolving the causes of tension and crises facing the region; in addition to fighting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

According to Bahrain News Agency BNA Sheikh Khalid stressed Bahrain's commitment on developing relations and various aspects of cooperation with the United Nations and supporting its efforts in promoting international peace and security. Both sides also discussed means of strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations mechanisms.
