Drug smuggling bid foiled at Muscat airport; two women among six held

ROP officials at the Muscat International Airport foiled a bid to smuggle in drugs by arresting six Asian nationals of whom two are women

In another case the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested six Omanis and one Asian national from Seeb on charges of drug smuggling following a raid on their residence. Cash was also seized from their possession.

206 infiltrators held during December

During December 206 infiltrators of various nationalities were arrested by teams of ROP and other security agencies. Also 301 arrested earlier were deported during the same period after completion of formalities with their respective embassies. The ROP has called on the public to report infiltration.
