UAE Ambassador highlights UAE Olympic team s performance

DOHA 15th January 2016 (WAM) -- UAE ambassador to Qatar Saleh Mohamed bin Nasra Al Amri has congratulated the UAE Olympic team on defeating the Australian team in their first match within the Group D in the finals of the Asian Olympic qualifications to Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

He highlighted players' determination to achieve a positive result adding that the team have performed well.

In his remarks on the occasion the ambassador urged the team to be prepared for the next two matches.

He added that the UAE Embassy in Qatar will harness all its potentials for the benefit of the UAE sports mission in order to achieve the goals. The envoy also hailed the efforts of the technical staff led by the team's coach Abdullah Masfar.

He said'' We are proud of our youth who honoured the UAE football."
