Jordan- UN humanitarian affairs official visits JHCO
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan. 14 (Petra) -- Assistant UN Secretary-General for Humanitarian Partnership for the Middle East and Central Asia Rashid Khalikov on Thursday visited the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to see firsthand the humanitarian services Jordan provides to the Syrian refugees.
Within his first visit to Jordan after taking up his new post Khalikov is currently on a Middle East trip to look at the burdens Jordan shoulders as a result of the massive influx of the Syrian refugees into the Kingdom.
During the visit Khalikov met with JHCO Secretary General Ayman Mufleh and discussed with him ways of cementing partnership and cooperation between the two sides.
Mufleh reviewed the efforts Jordan exerts to host the Syrian refugees and how the refugee crisis impacted all vital sectors in the Kingdom.
He also stressed that the international community should stand by Jordan to face the Syrian refugees crisis.
