Ten Yemeni Guantanamo Bay detainees arrive in Oman
MUSCAT 14th January 2016 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oman today announced the arrival of 10 Yemeni nationals following their release from Guantanamo Bay at the request of the US government.
The country's official news agency Oman News reported that an official source from the ministry said that based on the directives of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman and at the request of the US government Oman is temporarily hosting 10 Yemeni Guantanamo detainees who were released from detention for humanitarian reasons.
