UAE singer rescued after vehicle gets stuck in desert

The Sharjah Police have rescued popular Emirati singer Abdullah Bu Alkhair after his vehicle got stuck in the middle of the desert in Al Fayah area. His vehicle almost got buried under loose sand with the singer inside it.

The police said they received a distress call from the singer at 2.15pm on Monday. The police identified the spot using "smart technology" and rushed rescue patrols and paramedics to the spot.

The police recovered the vehicle rescued the singer and ensured he was in good health.

Expressing appreciation for the Sharjah Police's quick response Bu Alkhair said: "I was tired thirsty and couldn't move my vehicle as it was stuck. The sand started burying my car. It was a terrifying experience. I thought I was going to die."
