UAE- Sultan bin Khalifa Nigerian minister discuss cooperation

ABU DHABI 13th January 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Adviser to the UAE President met on Tuesday with Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

During the meeting held at Al Buteen Palace they reviewed joint cooperation in the light investment opportunities between the two countries as well as mutual relations.

Sheikh Sultan said that the oil and natural gas industry is one of the most important pillars of African economies as it contributes to achieving comprehensive development.

He referred to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to promote this sector.

Sheikh Sultan referred to the importance of UAE companies' presence in Africa being a promising market for the UAE petroleum companies.

For his part Kachikwu confirmed his country's desire to develop relations with the UAE in the best interest of both countries. He also expressed his satisfaction at the level of cooperation between the two countries in all domains.
