UN Security Council condemnes terrorist attacks in Iraq


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) New York Jan. 13 (Petra)-- the United Nations security council strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Iraq that claimed the lives of at least 50 people and injured many others.

In a statement issued late Tuesday the council's members welcomed efforts of the Iraqi government and its partners to counter the Daesh terrorist group and regain stability throughout the country. It also welcomed the government's recent successes in Sinjar Ramadi and other parts of Iraq.
