Jordan- Rise in temperatures forecast today


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan.13 (Petra) -- A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday becoming 3-4 degrees above their seasonal average; therefore it will be relatively cold in the hilly areas mild in the Badia region and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) chilly conditions are expected to prevail during the night with frost formation after midnight in the desert areas and the southern heights.

Temperatures will slightly drop on Thursday but similar weather conditions will continue to prevail across the country with low clouds and westerly moderate to brisk winds the JMD said.

In the evening hours clouds will build up gradually creating partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a chance for light rain in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.

Relatively cold and partly cloudy weather with light rain is forecast on Friday as temperatures will slightly drop again. Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly moderate to brisk the mythologists noted.

Mercury levels expected in Amman for today will range between a high of 17 degrees Celsius and a low of 6 degrees at night.
