Al Azhar condemns the terrorist bombing in Istanbul
CAIRO 13th January 2016 (WAM) -- Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Istanbul's Sultanahmet district killing a number of civilians and wounding others.
In its statement Al-Azhar confirmed its rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. The statement stressed that such terrorist attacks are contrary to the teachings of Islam all heavenly religions and humanitarian laws and norms. Al-Azhar called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and unify efforts to eradicate terrorism and rid the world of evil.
