King of Jordan US Vice President discuss relations

WASHINGTON 13th January 2016 (WAM) -- King Abdullah II of Jordan and US Vice President Joe Biden have discussed the latest developments in the Middle East especially efforts to fight terrorism and extremism and Jordanian-US cooperation in this regard.

According to the Jordan News Agency Petra the meeting dealt with the latest developments in Syria. In this context the Jordanian King emphasised the importance of finding a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis to end the suffering of the Syrian people.

King Abdullah and Biden discussed Iraq and stressed support for Baghdad's efforts in its fight against Daesh. The talks also touched on efforts to revive Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations based on the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions.
