Qatar Stock Index Drops 194.77 Points
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index Dropped 194.77 (-2.01) points when the bourse closed trading at 9,477.09 points on Tuesday.
The daily turnover increased to QR 179,439 million with a volume of 4,217,735 shares from 2,753 deals compared with QR 246,229 million with a volume of 5,549,094 shares from 3,779 deals on Monday.
Indices of seven sectors ended in red today. Banks and financial services sector ended in the green, dropped -1.84 percent to 2,544.43 points. While insurance sector index decreased -1.39 percent to 3,837.51 points.
QSE Total Return Index dropped when it closed at -2.01 to 14,730.77 points today. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index closed -2.03 percent to 3,479.42 points. QSE All Share Index dropped -1.09 percent to 2,531.75 points.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, 37 saw trading today. From these, 31 dropped, five closed lower and one remained unchanged.
