(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Tunis Rabi'II 2 1437 Jan 12 2016 SPA -- Saudi Press Agency (SPA) has participated in the international forum organized by Tunisian News Agency on the occasion of 55th anniversary of its establishment.
The SPA presented a worksheet entitled "Challenges of Integrated Multimedia in the Saudi Experience"
The worksheet highlighted that the SPA launched an official department of multimedia on 2/10/2013. This department dealt with the social platforms including Facebook Twitter Instagram Snapchat and Telegram in addition to text messaging service (SMS).
The New Media Department provides "SPA SMS" which was launched in 2007 with 339.000 messages per year.
"SPA Facebook" is among the initial pages which were launched in the social network including political cultural economic social and public pages.
On October 2011 SPA started dealing with "SPA Twitter". The number followers of the account reach 1300000. SPA also provides English and Persian official accounts in twitter.
On 5/5/2013 the SPA started with "SPA Instgram" where the number of published photos reached more than 16000 photos with more than 500.000 followers.
The New Media Department will launch "SPA Snapchat" and "SPA Telegram" during the coming days.
