(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Paris January 12 (QNA) - Qatar Meditation Sudan Liberation Movement/Army (SLAM\A) and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) issued a statement on Monday after their meeting in Paris saying the following: According to a joint message directed to HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud by both SLAM\A leader Minni Arcua Minnawi and JEM leader Gibril Ibrahim Mohammed demanding a meeting with Qatar Meditation to discuss Darfur peace process the meeting was held Monday in Paris.
The meeting was constructive and consultations have been run in a friendly atmosphere. The talks touched on peace process in Darfur and the effective role of the Qatari meditation in achieving the peace process.
Both parties agreed that both movements release a detailed paper to Qatar Meditation on their view on the possibility of finding commonality for Darfur peace process as soon as possible. (QNA)
