Tiantian Zhang has the Blueprint for Dynamic Product and Graphic Design

For years shes showcased her elite abilities in product and graphic design that have earned her international recognition.

Zhang has dispatched her exceptional design talents for Cosmopolitan China. She designed edited and hosted the talk show Three Fellows which tallied more than a million viewers on YouTube and YouKu. Zhang is a native of the city of Zhengzhou (Henan China) and alum of the Integrated Product Design graduate program at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania. She has recently been active with the launch of Vigo a new product she co-founded and creative directed.

Using an infrared sensor that tracks eye and head motion Vigo stimulates users with a flashing LED light a gentle vibration or with music when users arent at their optimal alertness. Vigo (www.wearvigo.com) is priced at $129 and is fully functioning Bluetooth headset for the Android and iPhone.

In November Vigo manufactured 2000 units and shipped out to more than 20 countries. Its target market is for drivers and especially for truck drivers employed in freighting transportation and shipping.

We believe weve designed a very practical and significant product thats tailor made to reduce drowsy driving and cut down considerably the number of accidents each year caused by fatigued driving" said Zhang who was involved in Vigos research development design testing and fundraising.

Gui sees Zhangs complete understanding of product design as one that extends beyond aesthetics. She is able to handle the big picture under which products fall into he said managing diverse aspects ranging from user experience customer flow customer perceptions to functionality cost and the competitive environment. In launching new never-before-seen products as Vigo these skills are extremely valuable as they define not just a product looks but also how it could fit seamlessly into people''s lives.

Zhang collaborated on Vigos design with the San Francisco-based Y-Studios which was founded by internationally known industrial designer Wai-Loong Lim who said Zhang "enabled me and my design team to push our design envelope and think outside the box."

Y-Studios has engineered products for Microsoft Samsung Qualcomm and others. "Over the years I have come to be more selective in my clientele" Lim said. "I was struck with Tiantians maturity at such a young age. She possesses the talents of an entrepreneur far beyond her age."

That type of praise has been a theme with Zhang over the years. Last May she showcased Vigo at the Consumer Electronics Show one of the worlds largest consumer electronics exhibitions in Shanghai. She was also invited to serve as an expert panelist at the International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference and Global Crowdfunding Summit in Zhengzhou. Zhang spoke on the topic of growing a business with crowdfunding for an audience of several thousand attendees from around the world. Her presentation also covered industrial design graphic design and product video design.

In November Zhang participated as a mentor for Startup Salad San Francisco an event where teams build and pitch products to investors in just 52 hours. She mentored entrepreneurs in user interface user experience design marketing and product design. Global companies such as Cisco and Solar City participated in the event.

Zhang showed promise beginning when she was just a child taking interest in Japanese animation and starting to paint and draw. She took professional painting classes when she was 5 years old and continued the classes through the age of 17. She went on to study digital media design at Beihang University (Beijing) one of the top four-rated universities in China.

While completing her undergraduate degree Zhang was hired as Beihang Universitys website designer. She took the opportunity to create the sites aesthetic layout and color scheme that would be viewed by an international audience.

Becoming recognized as a design extraordinaire Zhang started fielding job offers and accepted one with Bloom Water Park a national water park in Greece. The three-month project saw Zhang design create and launch Bloom Water Parks website.

Zhang also performed in a critical role for Tencent the largest internet company in Asia for which she designed banners images and graphics for QQ.com news broadcasts. This work provided Zhang a tremendous platform to design for as QQ.com had more than 100 million users.

In 2012 Zhang served as Assistant Features Editor at Cosmopolitan China the most popular fashion magazine in China. Exercising her comprehensive design strength Zhang designed styles aesthetics and outfits for featured celebs appearing on the cover of the publication including Qiaoen Chen and Xinyi Zhang.

Miqu a Chinese gaming company has also benefitted from Zhangs outstanding design talents. She developed the companys website and built their visual identification system while working as creative director.
