Tunisia's new gov't wins confidence of parliament

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS Jan 11 (KUNA) -- The Tunisian House of the People's Representatives granted on Monday a vote of confidence to the new cabinet line-up led by Prime Minister Habib Essid.A total of 186 deputies attended the plenary session of the 217-member parliament Tunisia's TAP news agency reported tonight.The result of voting came as follows; Omar Mansour Minister of Justice got 147 votes in favour 26 against and 17 abstentions Hedi Majdoub - Minister of Interior - won 139 votes in favour 20 against and 25 abstentions Khmaiyes Jhinaoui - Minister of Foreign Affairs - 134 votes in favour 29 against and 23 abstentions Mohamed Khelil - Minister of Religious Affairs - 142 votes in favour 21 against and 23 abstentions Youssef Chahed - Minister of Local Affairs - 147 votes in favour 24 against and 20 abstentions Mahmoud Ben Romdhane - Minister of Social Affairs - 138 votes in favour 22 against and 22 abstentions Kamel Ayadi - Minister of Civil Service - Governance and Fight against Corruption - 142 votes in favour 20 against and 25 abstentions Kamel Jendoubi - minister in charge of relations with the Constitutional Authorities and the Civil Society and Human Rights - 138 votes in favour 25 against and 20 abstentions Mongi Marzouk - Minister of Energy and Mines - 138 votes in favour 23 against and 23 Abstentions Mohsen Hassan - Minister of Trade - 143 votes in favour 23 against 21 abstentions Anis Ghedira - Minister of Transport - 144 votes in favours 21 against and 21 abstentions Sonia M'barek - Minister of Culture - 142 votes in favour 21 against and 26 abstentions And Khaled Chouket - Minister in charge of relations with the House of the People's Representatives and Spokesman of the Government - 136 votes in favour 26 against and 23 abstentions.Prime Minister Habib Essid had announced on January 6 a cabinet reshuffle which concerned the portfolio of 13 ministers.
