UAE- Sharjah Police on the hunt for pharmacy thieves

A popular pharmacy in Al Taawun area of Sharjah was robbed by two armed and masked men allegedly from Pakistan. The two suspects took off with Dh600 which they took from the pharmacist on knife point.

The incident occured at 1am of Monday when the pharmacist was counting the cash to close the cash counter. The Arab pharmacist told the police that his pharmacy was very crowded and that he was the only employee serving them.

When it was time to close the shop he was counting cash for the end-of-day report when two men speaking a mix of Arabic and Urdu entered. The pharmacist thinking they were customers told them the pharmacy was closed.

The suspects - one wearing a sports outfit and the other in Pakistani national dress - pulled out a knife and threatened to stab him to death if he resisted or attempted to contact the police. Fearing for his safety he handed them the cash after which they jumped into a waiting car and got away.

The Sharjah Police reached the scene and lifted finger prints and looked over the CCTV footage. The police have launched an in tensive manhunt for the robbers.
