Emir attends Qatar Open final


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday attended the final match of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha. HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir's personal representative, and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also attended the final. Novak Djokovic won his first title of 2016 at the final, playing "perfect" tennis to thrash arch-rival Rafael Nadal in straight sets during a breathtaking performance. A near faultless world number one cruised to victory 6-1, 6-2 in a match lasting just one hour 13 minutes.
