Abu Dhabi Police honours 40 volunteers

ABU DHABI 11th January 2016 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Police honoured 40 volunteers from various police departments for their efforts in supporting the Victims Affairs Office of the Crisis and Disaster Management Department affiliated with Directorate-General of Central Operations during the activities of the FORMULA 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

According to the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi Director-General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the honorees. He also hoped that the honoring serves as incentive and encouragement to others to be role models in such a collaborative work.

"This volunteer work comes in line with the values of Islam and our authentic Arabic traditions. It is in compliance to the directives of the wise leadership with the aim to promote the efforts to maintain and preserve the dignity of the people" Al Harithi said.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Nasser Al Kindy Head of the Crisis and Disasters Department stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Interior to support volunteer work in order to help provide the best services for the society.
