UAE- Ruler of Sharjah issues Emiri Decree amending human resources law

Sharjah 10th January 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has issued an Emiri Decree No. (I) of 2016 regarding amendments to some articles of the human resources law No. (6) of 2015 in the emirate of Sharjah.

The law defines criteria and requirements for appointment in government jobs in the emirate of Sharjah.

In all circumstances the law stipulates that a national job applicant should have completed the national military services or should submit documents of exemption.

The law regulates among other issues allowances (social and children) promotion annual leave disciplinary measures and termination of services.

The law also calls for establishing a human resources higher committee and formulating its mandate functions and powers.

The decree is affective from the date of issuance and will be published in the official gazette.
