Wings of Oman's January edition focuses on dream vacations

The January edition of Wings of Oman - Oman Air's award-winning inflight magazine launches two very special lead travel featuresboth set to inspire readers to make their 2016 a year of memorable travel and dream vacations.

The first is a '10 Top Travel Destinations for 2016' feature and includes a selection of top-class travel destinations to visit in South-East Asia Europe South Asia and East Africa during the coming months.

The second travel features looks at the Sultanate of Oman's much-loved cultural celebrationthe Muscat Festivalwhich runs from mid-January until mid-February this year.

Oman Air has been supporting this cultural extravaganza since the time of its inception. The colourful array of events at various venues spread across the capital showcases the Sultanate's history culture and vibrant amalgamation of the old world charm and the modern world.

The 'Must See: Oman' section profiles Al Alam Palacethe exquisite ceremonial palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said which is one of the most-visited tourism attractions in Muscat.

The magazine also has a feature on Jordan's ancient city of Petra; a profile on the three adventurers who are currently travelling by foot across the famous Rub al Khali 'Empty Quarter' desert; and a feature on Oman's recent Young Emerging Artist Prize winners.

Another exotic destination that is featured in this edition is the tropical island Maldives which offers an unforgettable marine adventure experience for families and kids.

The 'diary of events' section provide information on the events taking place around the world in January. Be it the London Short Film Festival or the National Tulip Day in Amsterdam get yourself informed on these unique events.

The special 'Oman View' page profiles the work of Omani photographers in every edition and this issue features noted photographer Hamed al Ghanboosi and his beautiful photographs.
