(MENAFN) S. Korean's expenditures made abroad by tourists and business-trip passengers are estimated to have reached USD 20bn last year.
Accordingly, the country spent USD 19.3bn overseas in the Jan-Nov period, up 9.2 percent from a year earlier.
However, the Dec figures have not been complied; the amount reached USD 16.9bn in 2007, but decreased to USD 11bn in 2009 due to global economic crisis.
The number of S. Koreans travelling abroad reached 17.5mn in the cited period, up 19.6 percent from a year earlier.
