Tunisia condemns terrorist attack in Libyan city of Zliten
TUNIS 8th January 2016 (WAM) - Tunisia on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a police training centre in the Libyan city of Zliten and left scores dead and injured.
While extending sincere condolences to the Libyan people and its compassion and sympathy with families of the victims Tunisia expressed its full solidarity with Libya in this painful ordeal.
In a Foreign Ministry statement carried by Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) Tunisia has called on the Libyan stakeholders to expedite the implementation of the various points of the political agreements signed between Libyan antagonists and to form a government of national accord able to meet the security and economic challenges faced by Libya.
It also urged the international community to redouble efforts to end terrorism which is threatening peace and stability in the world.
At least 60 people were killed and dozens were injured in a car bomb that targeted on Thursday morning a police training centre in the Libyan city of Zliten.
