Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah post wins


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Osaro Adako scored 22 points and Hassino Ndoye chipped in with 18 as Al Gharafa scored a 73-60 win over Al Arabi in the Qatar Basketball League last night.
Gharafa, who led by just one point (15-14) after the first quarter, upped the ante later in the match to eventually post a comfortable victory.
Adako nailed two three pointers from three attempts, while Hassino had five assists to his credit. Mohamed Saad with 12 and Dwayne Galloway with 10 also excelled for the winners.
For Al Arabi, Edward O'Brien top-scored with 19 points, while Moutasim Hamed had 13 and Narcellius Soyebo 10.
In the second match of the day, Al Wakrah led from the start for a 114-94 win over Al Khor.
Al Wakrah led 30-24 after the first period and never looked back with Adamu Saaka scoring a game-high 35 points along with Ronald Rembert of Al Khor. Saaka scored 13 field goals and drilled eight of his 13 free throws.
Harold Boney Watson with 29 points and Souleye Ndour with 25 also excelled for the winners. Watson also had 11 assists to his credit.
For Al Khor Rembert was ably supported by Charles Abouo and Alen Hadzibegovic who scored 27 and 20 points respectively.
