Senior Kuwaiti official re stresses administrative team work
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Jan 7 (KUNA) -- A senior official has re-affirmed necessity to boost team work among the Cabinet the National Assembly the Supreme Planning Council and other State departments and ministries.In remarks published by the daily newspaper Al-Jaridah on Thursday Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Planning and Development Hind Sabeeh Al-Sabeeh indicated that each ministry had been asked to report its projects to be included in the State Development Strategy indicating the concerned strategists would select "those that are compatible with the course of the development plan." Among the most significant "accomplishments in the (new) plan is setting specific timetables for each venture" the minister told the Arabic-language Kuwaiti newspaper. The development projects are being tackled with utter transparency she stressed.The National Assembly Priorities Committees regularly "invites us along with ministers of other departments for meeting and briefing about latest developments related to the projects" Minister Al-Sabeeh said underscoring the legislators' role in this respect.Regarding proposed privatization of cooperative societies she said the Supreme Planning Council had adopted a study in this regard. It had also been approved by the Fatwa and Legislation Department. "We have started pondering investment in some defaulting central coop stores" Al-Sabeeh said disclosing that some of them suffer from accumulating debts reaching "millions of dinars." (end) mka.rk
