Norway pioneers in electric car's thriving market

(MENAFN) All thanks to consumer great incentives few nations can hardly match, Electric cars reflected almost one in five new vehicles recorded in Norway last year, a market share unmatched anywhere in the entire globe.

To make things even better, according to the Information Council for Road Traffic, nearly 26,000 zero emission vehicles were listed in 2015 in the Scandinavian country, out of a total of 150,700 private new cars, which is pretty impressive.

Strangely enough, the top Scandinavian nation, which ironically enjoys plentiful wealth from its North Sea oil and gas reserves, offers numerous incentives to encourage car-buyers to opt for clean vehicles, so go figure.

"Norway is a definite pioneer and therefore has an incredibly important role, it is the North Star for what is going on in the rest of the world in the field ", stated a top official of the Norwegian Association for Electric Cars.
