Qatar- Bahrain Foils Foreign backed Terrorist Plot


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Manama January 06 (QNA) - The Bahraini Interior Ministry has announced on Wednesday that a terrorist plot involving a series of bombings has been thwarted Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Investigators identified a terrorist group named "Al Basta" and have arrested several members on terrorist-related charges.
The investigation revealed that the terrorist group has strong links with leaders of the Iranian Republican Guard Hezbollah Saraya Al Ashtar and a number of individuals involved in the Sitra terrorist blast on 28 July 2015 that killed two policemen and injured six others.
According to BNA the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science referred the case to the Public Prosecution. (QNA)
