Dubai Duty Free informs decline in annual sales


(MENAFN) Dubai Duty Free (DDF) informed a rare decline in yearly sales as the weak euro and decrease in Russian spending hit one of the glob's most important trade operations.

The airport retailer has reported grows in year-on-year sales supported by the fast growth of Dubai's airports, but the strong dollar has hit the nation's retail sector hard.

Moreover, DDF with trade operations through Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum Airport informed a 1.5 percent decline in retail sales figures.

The wider DDF Group, which involves leisure processes like the Irish Village as well as airport retail sales, reported sales of USD 1.92bn a fall of 0.6 percent.
