(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar have cancelled their Turkey training camp due to bad weather, details revealed on Monday.
Coached by Felix Sanchez, Qatar were set to play Iceland on January 6 but due to inclement weather the squad will return to Doha immediately, said a statement posted on Qatar Football Association (QFA) website.
Qatar will continue their training camp in Doha ahead of the Jan 12-30 AFC U23 Championship, QFA officials said on Monday.
Felix's squad had completed a separated training camp in Spain at the end of last month. Qatar are aiming to be one of three sides that qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games.
