Oman- Waljat College honours long serving employees

In the presence of the chairperson of the Trustee Council Hon Dr Zuhoor Abdullah Salim al Khanjari; Professor (Dr) S L Gupta dean of Waljat College of Applied Sciences and the Trustee Council members M M Khan Tanmay Mehta Mohammed bin Mirza al Balushi Salem al Bortmany Saif al Shmeli; Waljat College of Applied Sciences felicitated its staff members who completed ten and 15 years of service by presenting a memento and certificate of recognition on January 3.

The following staff members have been awarded appreciation and recognition certificates from Omzest. Congratulating the faculty and staff members Dr S L Gupta stated 'The sole credit of this success goes to the hard work and dedication of the faculty the other staff members of this college.'

Waljat College of Applied Sciences Muscat was established in the year 2001 in academic partnership with Birla Institute of Technology Ranchi India - one of the top Deemed University pursuing academic excellences for more than sixty years.

The vision of the founder H E Dr Omar Zawawi was to provide world class academic programs with international recognition in the field of Engineering IT and Management in the Sultanate of Oman in order to train and develop future leaders in emerging professional areas in tune with the needs of the nation.

The college presently offers Bachelor of Engineering programmes in Biotechnology Computer Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering Bachelor of Computer Applications Bachelor of Business Administration at graduate level and Master of Business Administration and Executive MBA programs at post-graduate levels.

Approximately 3000 students have so far graduated with Degree Advanced Diploma and Diploma certificates and are serving with distinction in government and private sectors. Many of them have made a mark as entrepreneur within and outside the country. WCAS graduates have made their presence felt globally by hard work dedication and high level of competence.
