Turkey, France discuss foreign interventions in Syria nad Libya conflicts


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA Jan 5 (KUNA) -- Foreign fighters in the conflicts in Syria and Libya was the main issue discussed by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and visiting French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Tuesday.State-run Anadolu News Agency citing diplomatic sources reported that both officials also reviewed bilateral relations and the deepening rift between Saudi Arabia and Iran.Earlier on Tuesday the French Defense Minister had met with Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Akar Hulusi.Meanwhile Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford arrived in Ankara earlier today where he is expected to meet with Hulusi on Wednesday to discuss the fight against the so-called Islamic State (IS) and the conflict in Syria.
