Britain posts poor results for industrial sector over 2015

(MENAFN) UK's manufacturing Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) recorded 51.9 in December 2015, down from 52.5 in November, thus manufacturing production grew for the 33rd continuous month in Dec.

Additionally, in spite seeing its rates of expansion ease throughout the cited month, the consumer goods division remained the leading driver of production and new order growth.

On a different note, The UK service sector makes up around 73pct of GDP, and London is one of the three command centers of the global economy and it is the world's largest financial center besides New York.

"The UK manufacturing sector ended 2015 on a disappointing note, with its rate of growth slowing further from October's recent high back down towards the stagnation mark," stated a Senior Economist.
