Minister of Industry issues contract for needs of Egypt market


(MENAFN) Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade proclaimed that the ministry would subject situations for tender documents and requirement of cement production to meet the needs of the regional market.

Accordingly, the Cabinet currently confirmed defining a fixed value for the cement licenses paid to the government based on the economic viability, which will also be accepting talented applicants.

Additionally, issuing new cement licenses will add to filling the future need, which is predicted to reach 90.4mn tons by 2022, Egypt factories which produce 60mn tons yearly.

The minister visited a cement factory, whose investments amount to USD 0.25bn and which produces 1.8mn tons yearly and hires 600 employees.
