(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan. 4 (Petra) -- Temperatures are expected to pick up over the next two days but it will remain cold across the country with a chance for light showers of rain in the northern and central highlands.
Winds will be southwesterly moderate according to the daily briefing of the Jordan Meteorological Department. Frost formation is forecast especially after mid-night and in the early morning hours.
Temperature will reach a high of 11 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern region today dropping to 5 at night but it will be a little bit colder in the central region with the high reaching 9 degrees Celsius. In the Red Sea port city of Aqaba moderate weather will prevail with the high at 21 degrees Celsius.
