Qatar- The Vatican Officially Recognizes State of Palestine

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ramallah January 02 (QNA) - Vatican Officially announced recognition of Palestine as an independent State on Saturday.
The recognition came clear in Vatican statement which says "With reference to the Comprehensive Agreement between the Holy See and the State of Palestine signed on 26 June 2015 the Holy See and the State of Palestine have notified each other that the procedural requirements for its entry into force have been fulfilled." Palestine's Ambassador to the Vatican Issa Kassissieh welcomed the recognition stressing Palestine's commitment to implementing the agreement.
He called on all world countries to recognize Palestine as an independent state on basis of 1967 borders. (QNA)
