Jordan- GDP grows by 2.6 percent in third quarter


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Dec. 3 (Petra)--Jordan's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.6 percent in the third quarter of 2015 standing at JD3.04 billion compared with JD2.96 billion in the same quarter of 2014 according to the Department of Statistics (DoS).

Most sectors recorded positive growth with the extractive industries sector achieving the highest growth rate of 17.5 percent.

The electricity and water sectors came second with a growth rate of 17.5 percent followed by the social and private services sector.
