UAE- FGB recognised at the 2015 Middle East HR Excellence Awards

DUBAI 3th January 2016 (WAM) -- FGB one of the leading banks in the UAE won the 'Innovation in Learning and Development' award and was runner up as the 'Employer of Year' at the 2015 Middle East HR Excellence Awards. FGB representatives received the awards at a gala dinner recently held in Dubai.

The Middle East HR Excellence Awards recognises and celebrates the achievements of individuals departments teams and organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of the HR profession in the Middle East. The awards celebrate top HR talent in the region and honour HR professionals across sectors for their contribution to creating a high-performing workforce of the future. The awards were judged by a panel of leading HR professionals from across the world.

The 'Employer of the Year' recognition commended FGB's efforts to ensure it is an employer of choice to top talent. Over the past year FGB has implemented a framework for its Employee Value Proposition bringing this to life through a series of programmes and initiatives designed to engage employees enable performance attract and retain top talent strengthen the bank's international capabilities nurture Emirati talent and fully align staff to FGB's strategy.

FGB received the 'Innovation in Learning and Development' award in recognition of its 'Service First' programme which directly links the learning needs of FGB employees to the needs of the business. Between 2014 and 2015 over 7000 employees participated in 400 workshops generating over 200 service improvement ideas.
